Campbell-Christie House

Open Year Round: Campbell-Christie House is a sandstone center-hall 4 room house with a full cellar and full garret/attic capped with a gambrel roof. The house was moved from New Milford to River Edge in 1977 onto Bergen County Historical Society land. Palisades Interstate Park: Palisades Boulder Field Trail

Year Round: This Alpine NJ hike is a 'best hikes' with children! This awesome hike begins from the highest point of the NJ Palisades and steeply descends 530 feet to the Hudson River. Part of the trail is an obstacle course through a sea of boulders and part of it is a series of stone steps leading downward. Although the hike is challenging, it's well worth it for the views! The Hermitage Museum in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ

Open Wednesday-Sunday: The Hermitage, a National Historic Landmark and house museum, incorporates a stone house that was visited during the Revolutionary War by General George Washington. It was also the site of the marriage of Aaron Burr and Theodosia Prevost. Its picturesque Gothic Revival design dates to the 1847–48 renovation by the architect William H. Ranlett. Eyewitness to African American History

February 17, 2019: Explore 200 years of Black history in Montclair and New Jersey through rare first-hand accounts, primary and secondary source documents.There will be many artifacts including census data, personal letters, oral histories, and mid-century Jet & Ebony magazines. April 9, 2017: There’s no need to travel to New York City to enjoy a performance of George F. Handel’s Messiah (Parts II and III), a classical music high point of the Easter season. You can simply travel to West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood, where the Oratorio Choir and Orchestra (directed by Deborah Holden-Holloway) Part II focuses on the death and resurrection of Jesus, ending with the glorious “Hallelujah Chorus.” Part III features some of the most uplifting and triumphant music of the Messiah, including “I Know That My Redeemer Lives,” “The Trumpet Shall Sound” and the culminating chorus, “Worthy is the Lamb.”.
