Local substance abuse treatment program for adults in Fair Lawn, NJ

The Fair Lawn IOP (Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program) is a convenient, local substance abuse treatment program for adults, designed to allow continued attendance in school or at work, while providing consistent, reliable counseling and group support right in the home community. Every client begins with 4 sessions per week, but with successful progression through a 6-8 week IOP program, this may be reduced (depending on clinical discretion). An individual outpatient treatment program is available for those who continue beyond completion of the IOP program. Two sessions are available, for day and evening attendance.

The Daytime Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Fair Lawn

The Adult Daytime IOP meets 4 times per week between 10am and 1pm, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The Evening Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Fair Lawn

The evening IOP meets 4 times per week, between 6pm and 9pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

What to Bring : How to Prepare

Placement into the IOP is determined by a Clinical Assessment, which must be scheduled in advance (201) 797-0001. All sessions are 3 hours long, with an approximately 30 minute break provided. Clients are welcome to bring a snack or food for break time. We have a kitchen area with sink, microwave, and refrigerator.

For those who need it, there is a nearby Boston Market (21-20 Broadway, Fair Lawn) and Bagel Boys & Deli (300 Broadway Elmwood Park).

Getting Started
with a Clinical Assessment

The Counseling Center at Fair Lawn is an outpatient treatment center for adults and adolescents. The Counseling Center is licensed by the State of New Jersey to provide a full spectrum of mental health and addiction services, for dual diagnosis, addiction, and co-occurring disorders associated with substance abuse.

Clinical mental health assessments, psychiatric evaluations, and individual, family and group psychotherapy are available for Adults & adolescents age 15 and older. Pharmacotherapy is available as appropriate.

Substance abuse treatment services include assessments, urine drug screening (UDS), psychiatric evaluations, adult Intensive Outpatient (IOP) groups, outpatient counseling, and adolescent individual & family counseling, as well as clinically appropriate pharmacotherapy.

Eligibility for all programs is based on a clinical assessment. Now offering Saturday assessments!
